ART can be constructed in many ways - handwriting, color, dance, play, signs,
ideas, speech, word, affluence, encounters, movement, speed. It is unique
and a matter of one's own perception. It has high spirits - and that's
because it is powerful, giving a lot. one can explain what was before, if
one remembers that the artist will not allow the experience of his
expressions - the general, as well as the individual one - to exist. We've
created a new kind of art and poetry in this century. It is one of physical
values and words and, in its acts, movements, theatre, music and speed, it
is alone. It is also the one that holds its place in our pulsating time
without fundamental dimensions, it's inner freedom that understands that it
is useless to speak to prose or to describe. (Eri, this does not make sense
- prose and speak are essentially the same thing, but either way, it sounds
awkward. Maybe I just don't understand what you're trying to convey) That
is why we will paint and compose on a myriad of materials such as canvas,
iron, paper - skins, leather, stone - on fabric and air!
Mike Martini was born in 1976 in the outskirts of Chicago. His parents, immigrants to
the United States, supported his artistic talents when he was very young.
Mike is a multi-talent and, next to painting, he loves to dance. His
detailed, almost architectural way of painting, shows in a different manner
in his body expression, as well.
